The Serafins continue the early music theme with a program featuring string and keyboard virtuosity of the Baroque era. The famed Double Concerto in D Minor for Two Violins by Johann Sebastian Bach will be performed by Hal Grossman and Kate Ransom, with an outstanding supporting ensemble of strings and harpsichord. Solo harpsichord virtuosity will be on display in a set of works played by Gabriel Benton. A sonata for cello and harpsichord gives Jacques-Pierre Malan a chance to shine. Hal Grossman’s technical skill and virtuosity are on tap in the Corelli violin sonata, and he is joined by Kate Ransom in a duo by Leclair.  Artistry and skill abound in this varied program for strings and harpsichord.
